How to find the best geosynthetic clay liner?

1. The upper and carrier geotextile must be polypropylene to guarantee GCL better tensile strength.   

Tensile strength must be 6kN Min.

2. The bentonite core must be sodium bentonite not calcium bentonite to make the permeability coefficient less.

Permeability coefficient 5x10-11m/s Max

Swell index 24ml/2g Min.

Filter Loss   18ml Max.

3. Geotextile and bentonite must be bonded by needle punched process.

Peel strength 600N Min. 

4. dry sodium bentonite weight must be bigger than 3.6kg/sqm, the bentonite moisture content is about 10%.
